I’m genuinely amazed at the amount of “tacticool” garbage people buy for their ARs. After adding every $20 gadget and $30 widget you can think of, you end up with a rifle that weighs 15-lbs, performs like crap, and just plain looks stupid. Believe me, people; 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for.
I started Hammerhead Armament back in 2012 because it combined two of my passions – firearms and helping people. When I say “helping people”, I don’t mean just selling them the most expensive optic we carry and sending them on their way. That’s not helping someone. What I mean is…finding the right piece of equipment – be it optics, rails, uppers, etc – that not only fits them and what they’re looking to do, but also fits their budget.
Because of that, I refuse to carry junk. You will not find $50 red dots, $20 hand guards, or $10 scope mounts. I’ve been asked in the past why I don’t sell cheap items, as I’d probably get more sales. Eff that. Buying rubbish like that may get you in the game, but you won’t stay in it. Do you HAVE to spend $700 on a red dot to get something good? No, absolutely not! A great example is the Burris AR-332, which is a fine piece of glass in the $300 price range.
My philosophy is pretty simple – I will NOT sell something that I wouldn’t use myself. Period.
