Ya know, some coaches were meant to be good college coaches. Steve Spurrier. Bobby Petrino. Nick Saban. Lou Holtz. What do they all have in common? They’re all college coaches that failed miserably in the NFL. Pretty soon we’ll be adding Pete Carroll to that list. As you may or may not have heard, the Seattle Seahawks are seriously courting Pete Carroll after having let go of Jim Mora, Jr. with three years left on his contract. If it happens this will be Pete’s third go around in the NFL, after failed tenures with the N.Y. Jets and New England Patriots. Umm, why? Don’t these teams learn? As a huge Seahawks fan, I hope I’m wrong. I hope Pete comes in and rebuilds this team back to respectability. However, I just don’t see it happening.
