Announcement Regarding Troy Industries

As you’ve probably heard, Troy Industries’ actions over the past few weeks have been…questionable.

First, Troy hired former anti-gun Chicago police commissioner Jody Weis as an instructor for their training division, Troy Asymmetric (who has since been let go).

Second, and probably worse, Troy hired a gentleman by the name of Dale Monroe. As you probably know, Mr. Monroe was one of the FBI snipers involved in the Ruby Ridge fiasco back in 1992. Although it was Lon Horiuchi who took the shot that killed an unarmed Vicky Weaver, Dale Monroe was quoted as saying it was a justified shooting and that he would have taken the same shot.

Owner Steve Troy recently put out an announcement on AR15.com and is standing by his decision to hire Mr. Monroe. While I commend him for standing by his beliefs in the face of mounting public backlash, we at Hammerhead Armament stand by our beliefs as well. Make no mistake, everyone; the battle for our gun rights in this great country is as tough as ever and we all need to stand together. To put it bluntly, this is not an act of standing together.

As of the end of today, Hammerhead Armament will be suspending sales of Troy Industries products until further notice.

Let me assure you, we did not come to this decision easily. Troy Industries products are outstanding and have a great reputation in the industry. However, we simply cannot stand by a company that employs someone who has no respect for another human’s rights, due process, or the Constitution.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will adjust accordingly.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Christopher Crowell
Owner and CEO

Yep! They have the right to make great stuff, hire and fire who they will, and make an ass of themselves.
YOU, on the other hand have the equal right to NOT support, buy or sell their products, for whatever reason. Or for NO reason.
This is the free market at its finest. Love it.

I was looking for parts online today. One of the parts looked good,so I clicked on it, and noticed it was a Troy part………….I didn’t buy it. I guess this has already cost them money.

Kudos to you….just as you’ve decided to not carry Troy products, I’ve done all I can do by writing other vendors urging them to do the same and vowing not to spend any more money on Troy items. For those looking for alternatives to Troy’s excellent folding BUIS, Diamond Head and PRI both have high quality folding BUIS that will fit that bill.

I’m further shocked and dismayed at Troy industry’s continuing self-destruction in the public eye. Apparently they have no quarter for the millions of Americans who follow the growing patriot movement in this country who swear by the quality of Troy’s products.

I’m even more disappointed because I have Troy accessories on every one of my AR and M1A builds. They have just lost any further business or recommendations from me until they throw the ex-government assassin out on his ear and pen an apology to the American gun community worthy of a Pulitzer prize.

This just goes to show that in Obamamerica… everyone is beginning to choose sides.

Thanks for your principled stand. In my view what troy industries has done may be principled but is immoral and unethical in view of the quote by the fbi sniper that they hired.

Troy Industries is now in the same festering basket as Cheaper Than Dirt.

Thank you, and God bless you. It is not easy to do the right thing, but it is greatly appreciated; and if nothing else it will pay dividends in the end.
